Team 37 is a group of Friends that have traveled together through out the years. While we just like to have fun because of the hard economic times we have decided to make a trip with a purpose. Countdown til the 2009 Newport Antique Auto Hill Climb
Friday May 1st
This morning Big Al & Denny took me out for a little spin to see how I would work under real driving conditions. I stalled backing up the driveway, I'm not sure what happened I just felt like I was starving for fuel so I stalled. Big Al gave me a little love pat and fired me back up. We proceeded over to the service road for Hwy 30. For the 1st mile or so I shook, rattled, & rolled like an ol' tune form the 60'. My old nylon tires finally got the flat spots out of then and things smoothed out like a new baby's butt. We went down to Summit and turned around. Coming back I saw this nice long hill and decided that if I was going to a hill climb now would be a good time to practice. Big Al must have agreed as he poured the coals to me' we topped the hill just a gettin' it.
Now I'm down in the dumps as I just learned that the Memories Car Club Cruise has been cancelled because of the bad weather. I spend most of the afternoon yesterday sprucing myself up. Now I'm all spruced up with no place to go.
I'm sorry guys and gals for not writing but I lost my computer privileges for going on the internet to places where I didn't belong
May 2nd Big Al drove me to Festus to the Classic Chassie Cruise with Denny and Terry driving the support vehicles. I died a couple of times on the way because Big Al was driving me pretty hard and I just had to stop and catch my breath. Don't know why but not alot of people paid much attention to me. One little guy Alex just had to sign my motor, which he did. Going home in the dark was an adventure, guess I might need glasses as I don't see very well at night.
I guess, well I know I've been in the dog house, the boys have spent more time working on my sister the coupe than me. I'm safe though because she can't do the hill climb as she has been modified hehe
I might be getting all-timmers as I can't remember what else happened.
